The Timer Challenge

The wonderful company, Papertrey Ink, is celebrating their 7th anniversary with all kinds of fun and goodies- check it out here.  Today's challenge was to take 7 minutes to get 7 supplies and create a card with at least one Papertrey product in 17 minutes or less.  I took this challenge as a way of making a sympathy card, something that we needed and a card that I'd probably procrastinate on otherwise...

It took me 5 minutes to round up my 7 supplies:

Rustic Cream card stock
Leaves & berry stamps from "Harvest Berries"
Sentiment from "Willow"
Woodgrain impression plate
Ripe Avocado ink
(all from Papertrey Ink)
&
Delicata Golden Glitz ink
Versafine Onyx Black ink

This card was made in just under 15 minutes.

Thanks for looking today!

ODBD February Challenge

This month's challenge for Our Daily Bread Designs over at OWH is to use the color brown, and if it's masculine and made by tomorrow it's part of the super Card Bowl!  So here's one from me...

The map is from a 6x6 pad by 7 gypsies.  I used dark chocolate and terracotta tile card stock
and an embossed sentiment, all by Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for lookin'!

Clear eyes... full hearts... can't lose

I'm a football fan.  It's known among my friends and family that I watch the games with, um, enthusiasm.  I'd really like it if the Patriots had made it to the big game, but I think they did pretty good  to make it to the AFC Championship Game given the injuries et al that colored their season... oh well... Given that "my" team won't be playing on Sunday, I'm hoping for a great game from 2 great teams-- a super duper bowl!   So, I've made masculine cards for both the Broncos and the Seahawks, because some of my favorite players are on the Broncos (we miss you in New England, Wes Welker!) and the Seahawks have, what I like to call. "the best costume."

           For the Denver Broncos

               For the Seattle Seahawks

Thanks for coming to visit.
Now go see all the other the great players in the OWH Card Bowl 2014!
